Storm-at-Sea patterns are my favorite. However, I doubt I'll never
have the patience to use only 3 colors ~ ever again. Wayne's quilt
was made for his 50th birthday and I surprised him with it, at that
year's family reunion.

I am a Storm-at-Sea pattern freak and this layout of
"Rainbow-After-the-Storm" design has become my favorite!
I'm pictured next to the custom-made quilt for my dear friend, Eric.
After the quilt was completed, Eric wanted to know how many colors
I used in the quilt ~ which I thought was an odd question, until he
informed me that he was color-blind.

This photo was sent to us by Lewcrese from Ohio. I just love the snowmen!!! Great Job!!

This quilt was made by Chris Bundy for her nephew Michael. His kindergarten teacher asked each student to write a sentence about what they were thankful for. Michael said he was "thankful for chickens," and, this quilt was born. You can see in the close up picture that one of the blocks is hand embroidered with a funny chicken and his words. This quilt is twin size and was machine pieced and quilted. Based on a pattern by Cheri Saffiote called Chicken Coop.

Nina's Bear and Teddy Bear Quilt - November 2003
This toddler sized quilt, 50"x50", was made to go with the cute,
very soft chenille teddy bear. The block is a modified 9-patch that
alternates with solid coordinate blocks. The bear is holding an extra 9-patch block.
Machine pieced and quilted (stipple) by Christie Bundy.

No quilting in the sashing, a heart was quilted into each of the sashing corner squares. Made by Chris Bundy over a 9 month period. Finished in January of 2003. Tara from Iowa sent in her very spring like adaption of Bloomin Scraps.

Here's my wall hanging! I hope you like it. I had fun
with the pattern. My sister fell in love with it, and
I gave it to her as a gift for watching our dog while
we were on vacation. I think I got the better deal . .

Hi!
I made this Bear Paw quilt for my friend in Toronto. She was going
through
Chemo and it kept her warm in the hospital. An interesting point:
Elinor
envisioned the chemo as a "Silver Bullet" going through here body and
shooting all the cancer. A flaw was in a small part of the white fabric
that
was actually in the shape of a mini-bullet...it was silver. I kept the
piece
of fabric that had the silver flaw.
Thanks,
Mary

“Front-Center” is my husband holding up a king size quilt (also “view 2”) made from 49 12” blocks by the “Comforter Squad” Yahoo group. We learned of a team of firefighters from Cuyamaca Southern California who, after fighting the blazes last fall, all lost their homes. The group made blocks, some came as far away as Finland and Nova Scotia, and were centrally distributed to team leaders by our coordinator right before Christmas. I had friends in Ohio and PA make additional blocks for me, so I had a BIG quilt. It was presented to “George,” the firehouse captain, in February.

The Flower Basket is an old unfinished hex that I acquired several years ago in a trade from a lady in Missouri on the World Wide Quilting Page. It was assembled using the English paper piecing method in the shape of a big diamond! I wanted to learn how to finish it, but when my girlfriend in Pottstown PA saw it and offered to finish for me, I jumped! The Amish ladies in New Holland PA hand quilted it for me in April. It’s shown on our bed….I still need to remove the paper from around the edges, bind it and add a sleeve to hang, since it’s not “queen size.” Also, the white background closest to the basket is discolored from age, so the newer addition doesn’t match—charming to me, but not suitable as a “gift.”

Jewel Box I purchased on Ebay from a lady in Ohio and finished with poly batting and all-over meandering, since my teenage niece had her eye on this one and I knew it would get some hard use.

The Zig-Zag quilt is a monster brainchild of half-square triangles that was a nightmare to assemble since the darkest greens and browns are in the center and the colors lighten toward the neutrals around the outer edge. My paper-piecing friend likes this one (it now has her name on it)—she’s been so good to me!

Thought you'd like to see my latest quilt. The embroidery is done on my wonderful Pfaff sewing machine! It is quilted in an outline stitch around the embroidery to emphasize the shape. The back of the quilt is the same pink dotted fabric. ...I made the quilt for the granddaughter of a friend of mine. It is 42 X 42 and after it is used for a stroller quilt or lap quilt of floor quilt, it can be hung on the nursery (toddler's room) wall. I prefer making this baby quilt to a really big one becasue of its varied uses! Take care! Pat

This is a picture of a cuddle quilt that I made for my sister's wedding present. It got finished a year late, but it got done!
